Our Burlington doctors are ready to give your lips the natural plump you desire!

Looking to add a little more va-va-voom to your lips, but want to avoid that “duck lip” or over-filled look that is just plain obvious?

Lucky for you, our Burlington doctors are trained and certified injectors capable of delivering stunning and completely natural-looking lip enhancing results.

Now, let’s dive into some of the most common concerns that lip filler patients have – starting with arguably the number one question:

Are lip fillers painful?

Those who are new to the idea of lip enhancement will generally have some concerns about whether the injections are painful. We don’t blame you! When we watch a video of a person’s lips being injected, a common reaction is “ouch – that’s got to hurt”.

But fortunately, this really isn’t the case. To ensure a painless procedure, our doctors will apply an anesthetic prior to injection using a very fine needle. Also, the product we use for lip enhancement contains lidocaine, so it will anesthetize as you are being treated.

So the answer is no – lip fillers aren’t or at least shouldn’t be painful so long as you choose an experienced injector. However, it’s good to be aware that a brief splinter-like sensation is common with injection, but should not persist. Besides, any potential discomfort will certainly be worth the end result!

One more FYI: Following your lip filler procedure, you should expect some swelling which should be down after about two days, with the lips at their best and final healed result after one week. In rare cases, there may be some mild bruising which can be concealed in the meantime with concealer makeup.

What exactly is being injected into my lips?

Our doctors use hyaluronic acid gel to fill the lips, because of its ability to achieve a beautiful, smooth fullness – free of any lumps. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance in the human body, just like collagen – making it an excellent material for the most natural-looking results.

How much should I expect to spend on my lip filler treatment?

The cost of your lip fillers will be dependent on how much of an enhancement you desire. For a subtle enhancement, about two syringes of filler will typically be required to accomplish this.

How long will my results last?

The results of your lip filler treatment should last anywhere from around 9 to 12 months, until you’re ready for a touch-up to restore fullness again.
